A Twist on Meatloaf

.
Cheeseburger Meatloaf and Sauce
yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon Paula Deen's House Seasoning (garlic powder, black pepper, and salt mix)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup grated Cheddar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 slices white bread

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Mix all ingredients together, except the bread slices and Sauce. Shape into a loaf. Line a 1 1/2-quart loaf pan with the bread slices. Place meatloaf on top. Bake loaf for 45 minutes. The bread absorbs the grease and should be discarded after loaf is removed from oven.

Ingredients

Sauce:
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar
1 bunch fresh parsley leaves, chopped, optional

Directions

Heat the soup and milk over medium heat; add the cheese. Add parsley to the sauce, if desired. Pour Sauce over the meatloaf or pass at the table.
I added some cooked crumbled bacon to my uncooked shaped loaf. Also, you might want to saute your onions a bit before putting them into the loaf. We ate this for lunch today...very delicious!

I can't wait to eat your delicious meals. I have a really good meatloaf recipe but I don't make it much because it is so involved. I will try this one because daddy and I like meatloaf alot and especially meatloaf sandwiches.

Well, we all should be eating like you, Saundra...raw and no meat. :)

You will NOT be disapointed! Let me know if Eric likes it, Katie.

This meatloaf would be good for sandwiches also, Mama. We are eating the leftover meatloaf tomorrow. Today I am making Shrimp Stuffed Potatoes.
