Sunday dinner

The Cope's came over to our house after church...we ate sirloin steaks, and Kelly brought over a delicious pound cake she had made! Of course, we enjoyed wonderful fellowship after the meal...and can't wait to do it again! :)

Cooling off at Lake Iowa

It was in the 90's today with high humidity...so we grabbed our floats and sunscreen and headed to the lake.

Then on the way home, Kaleb offered to treat us to ice cream w/his birthday money from Uncle Caleb. Yum! It tasted so refreshingly cool after our hot afternoon!
We missed our wonderful sweet Daddy who works so hard for us. :)
We went to a local farmers market in San Luis Obispo yesterday and was reminded why we don't go to this on very often . There is a sea of people for 4 blocks and you can't really enjoy walking because you are constantly trying to avoid running in to others. Mera can't walk in the crowd so I have to carry her most of time and we all have to walk single file to snake through the crowds . In other words it's just too crowded for our taste, but we did get some good peaches:-) There is another farmers market on Saturday and it is much much nicer.

Kaleb's baptism

Out of the "dressing room" w/Daddy and ready to be baptised!

It was also Old Fashioned Sunday at our church yesterday...so that is the reason for some people's dress styles. And on Old Fashioned Sunday the Preacher does the baptising in a pond at the park. That's Brother Joe, the preacher's son and our assistant pastor, who is baptising Kaleb...the Preacher is standing to the side.
Getting ready to go under! :)
Yay! Kaleb!
There was a BIG dinner for everyone at the park after the baptism...Travis didn't miss out on that!
Then, since it was Father's Day...we took Daddy out for ice cream at McDonalds! Can you find Kevin and the three monkeys?

The world through a bubble

Eric at Work

These are some old pictures from 2007 SWAT training at the 75' Rappel Tower. This was my first time doing inverted rappeling...a little scary to me.
The whole SWAT team. Can anyone find Eric?

See what fun we have?

Time for me and my big fat belly to give Eric a hair cut! He looks so excited!
Getting all my bed stuff washed up for the new week!
Eric trying to help me hurry up with my chores so we can go do something fun!

Can anyone guess where this was taken?

Kaleb's Day

Kaleb went w/Allyson to her early morning dentist appointment. When I stopped to get gas, Kaleb got to have some candy and a soda from the gas station.

Then Kaleb watched Allyson at her daily swim classes...

After swim class we walked over to the elementary school playground...and these little cars were a big hit w/Travis and Kaleb. Travis reminded me of Barney on the Flintstones! :)

Then when Daddy arrived home from work, we had supper and Kaleb's favorite...BIRTHDAY CAKE!
The presents Kaleb received from Grandaddy and Grandmother...
A pogo stick from Aunt Kristin, Uncle Kevin, and Meradeth. A hopping ball from Aunt Kim and Uncle Jim, a big Tonka truck from Daddy and Mama...

Tractor ride & swim class

Our neighbor Mr. Glandorf hauled over some boards on his wagon, and the kids enjoyed a ride! Kevin will wire the boards up against posts...that will protect our sweet corn from when our neighbor's fields are sprayed.

Allyson's cute swim suit she bought w/her own money at the Oshkosh outlet mall. Thank you to Grandaddy and Grandmother, Papa and Grandma, Aunt Katie, and Aunt Kristin to all the contributions you made to Allyson's summer activities fund! :)

She also used her money to pay for two weeks of swim classes. Allyson is in Level 3 and doing a great job...she's learned much already!

Grandma Hanna's 90th Birthday!

On Saturday, Allyson and over a hundred other family and friends celebrated with Grandma Hanna at her big 90th birthday party! :)

Some other things happened on Saturday.
In the top left picture(be sure to click on it to see it larger) you will see Hanna Langley, Kaleb, and Allyson peeking around the big trees.
Next picture over, Kaleb is riding his new scooter he received from Papa and Grandma for his birthday...which he is opening in the bottom right picture.
