H.E.D.G.E. - Home Educators Developing Godly Examples

This month's HEDGE meeting was held at the church. The school age children learned about one of our missionary families The Jaggy's located in Indonesia. The children viewed a slide presentation about the country of Indonesia. You can see in the picture below...their lunch consisted of the food the people might eat in Indonesia. Then they all worked on gifts to send the Jaggy's in a care package...the girls decorated a bag for Mrs. Jaggy and the boys painted wooden toys for the three Jaggy children.
At the beginning of the day during the slide presentation and a lecture about our Baptist heritage, Kaleb and Travis were in a class for preschoolers and kindergartners taught by Ms. Lois and Ms. Jean. Excellent class! They learned SO much and were just bursting to tell me ALL about it on the way home! :)

From Kristinah and Kevin:
Is this the same room where the church library was, Candace, when we were kids?
This is soooo great. I wish we had something like this at our church. How many people go there now? Ally, you are so very pretty...Love the pictures and so did Uncle Kevin..

When daddy retires we can join in with these activities. What a blessing to have a church that does something like this that encourages and helps parents to do what the bible commands us. De 6:6 & 7 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Dear sweet Allyson, Kaleb & Travis,
You are so blessed to be able to live the life you are living. The heritage that you are receiving is priceless. When you pray today, thank the Lord Jesus for your parents and their desire to bring you up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
