My endearing family

Kevin gave me these African violets for my birthday. I have a green thumb w/pretty much all plants except African violets...but, I'm up for the challenge...I want to keep these alive and beautiful just as they are now! :)

This is a collage of the awesome fun surprise birthday party my kind family gave me while they were here! I got cards, money, a gift card, earrings, a necklace, a shirt, a UT purse, a UT rug, and TWO ice cream cakes! Thank you so much, fam!

I love African Violets also, and the key is to water them from the bottom. Put the plant on a plate ,add water to the plate, and when the plant stops soaking up water remove the excess water let plant drain and you should be good; oh and fertilize every once and while. They also like indirect sunlight .

Those are some of the prettiest African Violets EVER! I kill anything that ever gets around me (plants that is).

I'm so glad we were able to have a little birthday party with you!

Beautiful flowers!!! Grandmother has the perfect spot in her house for those plants. Right infront of her livingroom window. The perfect indirect light as Kevin has said. The reason I know this is because she had some for a long time. We all had such a great time planning your party, Candace. We all enjoyed every minute of it.
