Monday drive

I fixed it! I'm so excited I had to post this again...please put your comments up again! Thanks!

This is about five miles east of our house. We were try to go biking on the bike trail in Amana, but the highway was closed due to high waters. Allyson and I thought we could find an alternate route on a side gravel rode...this is the road...didn't work out quite as planned. That is a farm house you see in the distance.

WHAT FUN WE HAD!!

We finally made it to The Reef. This is a wonderful casual dining restaurant in Vilano Beach that Candace gave us a gift card for. This is some of the most beautiful beach I have seen around here. There was hardly anyone here and the restaurant was very quiet. We got a table inside looking at the water because it was too hot to eat ouside on the patio. After lunch we walked on the beach and played in the water a little. It was a wonderfully, fun afternoon. Thank you, Candace!!

Sandi, Kevin's mom, sent this picture to me. It was taken at a Scout Camp in Blencoe IA. The small town of Blencoe, population 300, is in western Iowa almost on the Nebraska line.

Hey, everyone! I missed viewing the blog and keeping up w/everybody too! Kevin bought these roses(my favorite flower) for me...I thought the colors were just outstanding.
