The first beach that you see where we are swimming is right down from our campsite. The second day when we are swimming is down the lake a little ways after we had packed up.

These are a lot of really good pictures. The lake is beautiful. How cold is the water? I have been reading about the lake on the internet. It would be tougher to pack for a camping trip in the summer there in CA then in the east because your temps fluctuate so much more then ours do. Here we only know hot and hotter in the summer time. The temperatures you have would be just perfect as far as I am concerned. Warm in the day and cool at night. I like the kind of temperatures that you have in CA better then what we have in VA.

I like your video you took, Meradeth! I agree w/you, Kristin...when I go camping, I do not want to see a single soul anywhere! You guys have some great supplies and food.
There are some nice houseboats on the lake. The older I get the hotter I like the weather...TN is perfect for me. :) I LOVED the beautiful scenery pictures, Kevin.

I would have loved to get up in the morning and come out at 6:00 with shorts and a tank top on. I also would love it so hot that I am forced to go in the water. The weather was great though for Kevin. We have to get an umbrella if he is going to do any hotter weather. I don't know the temp of the water, but it was cool, not unbearable. I am very flexable though and I would have fun in colder weather or warmer weather as long as I am camping. Kevin didn't swim. He spent the entire second day whittling a piece of wood he found on the lake beach to look like an old man.
