Saturday and Sunday

So...people in TN don't place as big an importance on lawn mowing as they do in Iowa. This is what Kevin did after the second day in our new home. :) We definitely have the shortest lawn in the neighborhood...
This is the church I was born in and grew up in. My childhood friend Carolyn, who is now a missionary in China, and I played all over this place! Does everyone see Barbara's car? Allyson sat w/her during both services on Sunday...it was SO sweet. :) Then we had fun going out and eating lunch w/her! Many of the new members here couldn't believe that I was here when Preacher Atkins was the pastor. Mrs. Atkins still attends here, and I talked to her...she remembered all of us Bentley's filling up the whole pew!

I cannot believe you got to go to church there! Mama did tell me that you went out to lunch with Barbara! Did she know you were going to be at church or did you surprise her? Your lawn looks beee-u-tee-ful!! What a beautiful neighborhood you live in. It looks like it would be quiet and safe. Can't wait to see it in person.

I know it was so wonderful for Barbara and Allyson to sit next to one another. How is Lois doing? And Cathy and Jack. What a pretty place you have and I know your neighbors will appreciate having such a wonderful family move in. We are counting down the days to come and visit.

Well, I missed Preacher Atkins, but at least I have memories of the church. I remember throwing a ball against the side of the church with Wayne and Sammy and Caleb. This is so wonderful that you got to go there. Loved seeing the pic of your (enviable) front yard.
