Enjoying a snow cone at the carnival...

Saturday

Our day began w/Allyson's soccer game! That is her coach standing in the background. Allyson did a GREAT job again! Kevin was able to attend today and watch Allyson play for the first time. Kevin said I acted like a true soccer mom...he had to quiet me down many times...I really got into the game...yelling and cheering for Allyson! :)

After the game, Allyson and I headed down toward church to the fairgrounds where our church held a carnival for all the bus kids.
YES! That's Allyson with a Python snake wrapped around her neck!

Allyson helped out at the carnival...she worked this booth for almost 2 hours.

Happy Birthday, Eric!

Our talented little Cotton Top made this hillarious photo transformation, and I wanted to use it as Eric's birthday post. Let's hope he never looks like this!

I think we are all so lucky to have Eric in our family now, and I'm the luckiest to have him as my sweet husband (in 1 week). I love you, honey, and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!

The Boys and a Gift

The boys went w/Allyson and me to her soccer practice yesterday. We played in a nice park w/big trees near the soccer field. Both the boys crammed inside this hole in the tree...and I quickly snapped a picture! :)

My sweet husband bought me this fantastic Tennessee Volunteers t-shirt while he waited for his flight in the Knoxville, TN airport yesterday afternoon! Isn't it totally marvelous! :)

Soccer Game

Allyson's team had their first game this morning in Ladora. There is no score keeping so the games stay friendly and fun. :) Allyson did a super job...she made 3 goals! The bottom right picture is her making a goal! I was so excited and busy cheering that I didn't really get a good picture of her making goals. :)

Kittens

Yesterday morning, I went out to the garage and heard peculiar little "mows" coming from the corner. Needless to say, Allyson was overjoyed to find her cat Jane had three little babies! Don't you wish it was this easy to pop out three, Kristin? LOL! :)

The Great Outdoors

Last Friday night we went camping out by Papa and Grandma's creek in their timber. It was so quiet and peaceful. When we first got there, Kaleb caught some fish while Papa was setting up camp.

Our campsite...complete w/camper, picnic table, grill, Coleman stove, tiki torches, drinks/food, and much more! :)

Around midnight, after the kids went to bed...Papa, Kevin, and I sat around the fire and listened to the eerie howls of a pack of coyotes over the hill. There was a full moon out...as you can see from the picture!

It's morning! Kevin walks up to the house w/the boys to visit the bathroom.

Kevin fried some eggs...Papa made us toast...Travis really enjoyed his breakfast!

Now, it's time to play! Allyson is floating away on her "raft".

Then Grandma came down to the timber...and the kids had a blast building boats w/her and sailing them down the creek.

Remembering Grandaddy

I made the above photo/video of Grandaddy. I hope y'all enjoy it. The song is sung by the Eply family, a very dear family who go to our church. When I heard the song, I immediately thought of Grandaddy and how he loved his gospel mountain music!

Farewell Jodie

At five o'clock this afternoon, Jodie passed away from what we think was a stroke. She died very peacfully in a nice big grassy field with her favorite stick while I was sitting next to her petting her. She was such a sweet wonderful dog, and I will miss her so very much.

Soccer practice

Yesterday evening was Allyson's first soccer practice. The team has their first game on the 12th. When we arrived at the field, a group of people were setting up this hot air balloon...so we got to watch them get in the basket and take off!
