Allyson, Kevin, and a bird

During choir practice, I found Allyson and some other church kids playing "Red Light, Green Light" (I think that's what it's called. I had never heard of the game before Allyson told me about it.) As you can see, she really got into it! :)

Kevin cleaned out the driveway today after our latest snow storm...and before our next one hits tomorrow! Yay! Gotta love Iowa!

Notice the big drift that he is removing from in front of the truck?

Lately, we have been throwing bird seed out on the snow. I've been enjoying taking pictures of them...not as good as your bird photos though, Saundra. :) Can anyone help me w/what kind of bird this is?

Isn't it fun watching birds... Yes! I love them and love taking pictures of them. Probably BORE people with them. The pictures of Sunday night were fun... I was right next door and knew they were playing BUT didn't know exactly what was going on. I am sure Kevin is thankful for the "blower". Makes it much easier than shoveling:O)

We called it red light, green light, 1,2,3 when I was growing up. If it is the same game. Don't you just yearn to put on those cross-country skiis in that snow. Daddy and I were trying to figure out what kind of bird that is.

Yes, sadly I see very few birds here besides sea gulls (yuck) and hawks. There are sooooo many hawks around here. Red light, green light is fun. You learn all kinds of games when you are a teacher. Four scare is fun too. Do you know that game, allyson? Kevin would love to have so many pretty birds to take pictures of and that snow. Wow. Your in a paradise, candace. Thanks for the pictures.
