The 70's

Last night, Lois told me that Mrs. Atkins wanted me to have these two pictures.
This was taken downstairs before the upstairs auditorium was built.
I am in Mama's tummy.
Nice boots and suit, Daddy!  :)

What memories!! This is right before David Reagan and his family came to the church.Daddy looked real spiffy. The dress that I have on I bought about two months before this picture. We flew up to NY for Christmas and I bought this dress for that trip. It was the ONLY store bought dress I had for all 4 pregancies. We had moved into our first home around Sept. of 1977 about 6 months before this picture was taken. I was 24 years old here and daddy was almost 26.

Wow, everyone looks so alive and happy and vibrant! :) Mama, you look exactly the same in the picture as you do now. I don't even recognize daddy. Mr. Denton looks so young. I miss him.

Lois and I were laughing about her hair...she's sitting behind Ms Barbara.
One lady at church, who has only seen Daddy and Mama since we've been there, saw the picture and said that she thought you both looked better NOW than in the picture. :)
Do you see Mrs. Atkins, Mr and Mrs. Shepherd, and Mrs. Underwood? That is all whom I recognize...I'm sure Daddy and Mama see more.

I was thinking when I looked at the picture how pretty Lois's hair looks. Barbara had a full head of hair. I felt just like Kristin, I missed Denton so when I saw him. They had taken a trip to Norway about a year before this picture was taken and you wouldn't know it by looking at Denton, but he wasn't well at all, even at this time. I see Mrs LaFollete back behind Lois. She lived across the street from us when we first moved there. I also see an other older couple, Mr and Mrs Walter Miller. Lois will know who they are. I see Mr and Mrs Shephard, Riba, and all the way in the back on our side is a teenage boy. He was Amos Fisher's son. The man sitting behind daddy is familiar but I do not remember his name.

I forgot to mention that I see Mrs. Atkins also.
