Some meals we have had.

This is Split Pea Soup. It is called Roman Lentil, but you just substitute split peas for lentils. Please see recipe above. The half eaten banana in the background is not part of the whole scheme.
Below is a creation of Kevin. I told him I wanted a hamburger but no bun and make it nice! He made a hamburger with melted cheese on top, sauteed mushrooms and onions in olive oil and sweet marisala wine and then put it all over a bed of lettuce with cut tomatoes. Yes!!!
Please note that everything in the above pictures is organic, non-pesticide, all grass-fed beef with no hormones.

The food looks and sounds delicious. If you didn't tell us, I would have thought the pictures came from a magazine,Kevin. Daddy and I had lentil soup for supper this week. We love it. I will send you my recipe and see how you like it.

Wow, I haven't heard that one in a while, Daddy. Funny. I think I remember your telling me about the lentil soup. I think I even have the recipe. I think you emailed it to me. I will check.

Looks delish! Oh, how I would love to have someone cook for me! ...just for a little break though, because I do enjoy cooking and trying new things. :)
Kevin LOVES soup, so this will be something great to make.

Candace, I had to come to terms very early in our marriage that my husband is a much better cook than I am. Believe it or not, that was actually very difficult for me. He can take ANYTHING and put a little of this and a little of that in it and it comes out perfect. I just DO NOT have that knack that you and mama seem to have with cooking. I almost messed up the split pea soup. To be honest...I don't really like to cook or bake it all. Since we have been doing everything organic, I actually like it more now than ever.
