Saturday, May 1st

"Chalk the Walk" ...that is what was going on in Mt. Vernon, Iowa this last weekend. So, the kids and I went to check it out. Some of the chalk drawings were really amazing...this form of art work is done often in Italy.
Doing some window and street shopping along the way...

This is Kevin's grandmother's farm...and we are very thankful that we have this place to staying during the week we are here. (can you find two little monkeys in this picture?)

THis looks like something out of a fairy tale book. I would absolutely love to live on a real farm and grow all my own food and the whole shebang...At least I think i would. I think I would even like to try to live without electricity.

I love seeing how people draw pictures on the ground with the chalk. There is something like that here in the fall and it is pretty cool to see.

The town and the farm house look like something from a book! I would never want to leave if I could live there.

Looks like you are having SO much fun...I know you'll hate to leave tonight. :-(
