True Hero on the Titanic

Our preacher told us this story of a man named John Harper. I had never heard of him or this story before. If you have not heard of him, I suggest you read it. Moody Bible Institute has a book about him that I have ordered. This link will take you a brief synopsis of him and his life. http://www.blessedquietness.com/journal/housechu/harper.htm

What a great story,Katie. When I think of what Hollywood calls action-packed stories. They can not begin to understand. There is nothing more stiring then true accounts of how the Lord has changed lives.

Candace, this was a story Pastor Hayes at our new church told. He couldn't hardly tell it for crying and by the time he was finished, I think the whole church was crying. He was talking about parents being an example for their children. And he was saying what a legacy this man left for his daughter...that his last breaths were spent trying to win souls to the Lord. What a way to go into eternity and be welcomed home by your loving Heavenly Father!!

Reading this story really makes my heart hurt, because I just dont have that burning desire to see souls saved. I am praying for that desire.
