The kids stayed busy building this snowman at Papa and Grandma's on Saturday while Daddy and Mama were on their date. I think Travis knocked the head off right before I took this picture. :)

Our date
A relaxing stop at Barnes & Noble Bookstore for some coffee and reading. We also did some shopping, took a drive in the countryside and saw some picturesque scenery and wildlife, and dined at Red Lobster. We give thanks to God for such a perfectly marvelous day!

You guys look the same as when you first got married....Its so fun to go out by yourself and just do nothing really fabulous. But when you finally get a chance to go out by yourself..EVERYTHING is fabulous..I dont think I remember mama and daddy every going out alone until I got alot older. Poor guys..How did you stay sane around us kids all day everyday.
I am so glad that you all had such a nice time. You did what daddy and I enjoy doing. Going to the book store and reading. And the kids had a blast, playing at the grandparents' house.
You two have not changed very much in 8 years ago. You both still look so young and healthy and happy. I remember we had so much fun shopping for your wedding dress, Candace!
