Fall Party!

The Crusader's Club at our church had their Fall Party tonight. Everyone was to dress in costume w/the theme being Patriotic or Millitary. Allyson went as Martha Washington...enjoy these pictures of the First Lady...LOL :)

We are on our way to the Fall Party...excitement!

Here you see Martha Washington(Allyson) and the Statue of Liberty(Anna). :) Aren't they cute?

The winners for the best costume! Yippee! Hooray! :)
Standing at the left...is Miss Charity, the wonderful Crusader's Club teacher! ...and her husband Bro. Joe Brown is standing next her. Allyson had SUCH a FUN time w/her other Crusader friends playing games and eating ice cream and candy!

A funny one...

Barack Obama has put out an ad that simply reminded us...
John McCain cannot use a computer.
Well guess what...
Barack cannot land a jet plane on an aircraft carrier at night.

Obamarx-updated

"It's not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." B. OBAMA

To put this in plainer language... Under President Obama, tens of millions of checks will be sent out to the 40 percent of wage-earners who pay NO federal income tax. Like the man said, redistribute the wealth, spread it around.

A story...
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient needed money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Meradeth looking through the railing on the pier out at the boats and the water and the birds and I think you get the picture; pretty much everything in front of her eyes she has to stop and look so I had to stop and take a picture so I can remember every cute thing she does.

Grandaddy has a grandkitty! :)

Allyson got to pick out a free kitty today out of a litter of four. There is a house which Kevin drives by on the way to work that every now and then has a sign in their yard advertising "free kittens". Well, today it was up again...Kevin called me from work and told me about it. So, w/out telling Allyson where we were going, the kids and I hop into the van and drive to the "kitty house". I pull in and tell Allyson to go pick out the kitten of her choice...after screaming w/delight...she picks the kitten in the above picture! Her name is Jane...well, Jane Speckles to be exact. :) As you can see, Allyson decorated her w/a purple diamond studded collar(which I picked up for 50 cents at Walmart).
