Last Saturday was real nice so we went to the beach.This is one of my favorite spots for surfing and just to visit. Mera had a great time playing in the water,she was so tired when we left that she passed out by the time we got to the freeway.

Fun Friday

Allyson and Kaleb have been doing such a super job in school that we made today a field trip to the Children's Museum in Oak Ridge, TN. The pictures below are just some of the rooms. I didn't get pictures of the other rooms we went to such as The Rain Forest, Bird Room, The Gym, Pioneer Living, and International Gallery.

In 1942, a "secret city" sprang up in a Tennessee valley, as Allied scientists raced to beat the Germans at developing enriched uranium to fuel the first atomic bomb. In 1942, partly through Einstein's influence, President Roosevelt authorized the top-secret Manhattan Project. The "Secret City" grew to a population of 75,000, was the fifth largest city in Tennessee and was not even on the map. That city is Oak Ridge...about 10 miles south of Clinton.
This room gives all the details about that period of history. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory still exist today and researches computational sciences, biological sciences, and neutron sciences...whatever that is. :)
The kids climb up that lookout tower to search for spies in the secret city that have been placed around the room.

Mera at her tree

Meradeth stands at this tree when Kevin comes home everyday. When he walks up she says, "Daddy, take a picture." So he has about 6 pics of her next to this tree on his phone." I sent some more by email.

Get Motivated!

Ok, so Joe talked me into going to this ridiculous "Get Motivated" seminar today in downtown Jacksonville. I decided to go because there were some interesting people speaking. This is who the main speakers were.

Rudy Giuliani was very interesting to listen to. He talked a lot about 9/11 and he also took several cracks at our current Prez.
Terry Bradshaw was pretty humerous over all. Can't say I felt anymore motivated after he was done, but he was entertaining over all.Colin Powell was an absolute jerk. I wanted to throw up from the time he opened his mouth until it shut.

Mrs. Bush was so sweet and wonderful....she spoke for an hour and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Sunday evening

On Sunday evening services, all the children come up to the front of the church; as the kids walk across the platform, Pastor Sexton hugs and shakes their hand, and says "Hello" to everyone of them...which is quite a group! We sang through three songs singing every verse in the song before all the kids were back to their seats.

That is Allyson you see who just shook Pastor Sexton's hand. :) I was so involved watching all the kids, and I didn't think of taking a picture til the last minute before it was Allyson's turn...that's why it's blurry.
