Kaleb's conversation
This afternoon, Kaleb called his Sunday school teacher and good friend Miss Debbie! They caught each other up on all their news. Kaleb told Miss Debbie that he will never have a good as teacher as her, and he missed her very much, and he would call her again next week. :)
Kaleb was so cute on the phone that I had to snap some pictures of him!

Hillbilly Reunion
Our trip to Fort Monroe. We had a great time. Very interesting.Getting ready to head back to N.C. We hated to see them go.
Sitting outside while the supper was cooking on the grill. What a beautiful motor home.
Enjoying the beautiful sunny day together.

Interesting read
Kristen has a language class and they are reading a book on the roles that men and women had in the 1920-30's, so her teacher gave them this paper, and you can imagine what all the kids thought about it these days. It was like a foreign language to them. They don't teach this in the schools anymore... Very sad!

Supper
Tonight, we ate our first supper together in the kitchen of our new home. Slowly but surely, we are getting unpacked. I found the school books today which filled Allyson w/such joy and happiness! LOL! Kevin is doing well getting used to his new job. Thank you all for your prayers!
We are eager for all our friends and family to visit us!
Saturday and Sunday
So...people in TN don't place as big an importance on lawn mowing as they do in Iowa. This is what Kevin did after the second day in our new home. :) We definitely have the shortest lawn in the neighborhood...
This is the church I was born in and grew up in. My childhood friend Carolyn, who is now a missionary in China, and I played all over this place! Does everyone see Barbara's car? Allyson sat w/her during both services on Sunday...it was SO sweet. :) Then we had fun going out and eating lunch w/her! Many of the new members here couldn't believe that I was here when Preacher Atkins was the pastor. Mrs. Atkins still attends here, and I talked to her...she remembered all of us Bentley's filling up the whole pew!

We're back!
Saturday morning,...at a rest area, enjoying a cup coffee.
Sunday morning we attended Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN. We were able to meet many wonderful people there...after the service, one of the friendly ushers, led us to the front of the church, and we had the privilege to meet and talk to Pastor Clarence Sexton! Sunday night we returned and heard Dr. Shelton Smith preach in the evening service. It was an incredible day! :)
God answered our prayers; and on Monday afternoon, after many many hours of searching for a rental house and finding nothing but disappointments...we finally found this house!

Where I could be...
(Kristin and Daddy, Mama and Meradeth)
(Katie and Meradeth in the rental house's pool)
(Caleb in the backyard)
I could be relaxing at a beach house along w/Katie, Eric, Kristin, Kevin, Meradeth, and Caleb that Daddy and Mama rented for a week in Vero Beach, FL. But we are busy moving! We got our house listed last night w/Coldwell Banker; and in about an hour, Kevin and I will be heading down to TN for 4 days to find a place to rent. Then back to Iowa for about a week to tie up some loose ends. Please keep us in your prayers! :)
Hopefully, I'll have pictures to post when we return.
